Hour One of the Twenty Four Hour Podcast

Introduction with Host Todd Cochrane who normally host the Geek News Central Podcast and is the CEO of RawVoice a new media company representing oover 3500 podcasters.

Hour one guest is Mignon Fogarty better known as Grammar Girl. Mignon family of Podcasts are some of the biggest and well followed shows in the new media space.

I am still recovering from the 24hr Podcast as I type this. Being online 24hr and talking to over 30 guest during the period is enough to drain you. But I am very proud to say that we had according to ustream over 15,800 people check out the stream.

We raised well over $1500.00 for Disabled American Veteran once donations are totaled I will be sending money to www.dav.org.

We had no fewer than 100 people on the stream even at the latest hour. The video stream on ustream was solid from the tricaster to ustream for the full 24hrs. We had a few hiccups with Talkshoe but overall the event went well.

I have a pile of media to work over in the next couple of weeks and hope you will be patient as I push it out. All of the videos and media files will be put on the 24hrPodcast.com website in the order sequential order.

Big thanks to all the guest and special shoutout to Carey Holzman of ComputerAmerica.com that really helped in a big way for about 3 hours of the show as I hit the wall a couple of times.

All told I consumed 1/2 gallon of water, 1/2 gallon of iced tea and two red bulls. Needless to say I have probably drank another 1/2 gallon of water today to rehydrate.

Over 300gigs of video was recorded, 6 gigs of raw audio files. 400 new people are following me on twitter and over 1000 emails were sent in for participation in the HPMagic Giveaway over the 24hrs.

5 hardcore fans stayed with me the full 24 hours and countless others only missed by a few hours. I will cover more in Tuesdays podcast. But their is a treasure trove of material in the content.

 The 24hr Podcast is a wrap. We will start posting Audio and Video segments starting sometime next week.

Event was huge success with over 15,847 views of live video stream over 24 hours and over $1300 raised for disabled Vets at www.dav.org.

This years 24hr Podcast will largely be run the same way it was last year. There will be a live video stream from the studio here in Hawaii, and a way to Dial/Skype/Voip in and participate live.

We welcome anyone that wants to put the Streaming Video embed on their home page. Download the attached text file with the embed codes and add it to your website on Saturday Morning.

This is a Live and Interactive event so if you want to participate in the conversations taking place, and I encourage you to do so you will need to dial into the Talkshoe. The process is simple Signup for a Talkshoe.com account once you have done so. Dial the following number 724–444–7444 Call ID is 10832 followed by the Pin you were issued. The best way to experience this event is the video stream on one part of your screen and the live chat and discussion on another. I will have the audio from Talkshoe patched into the Ustream Video feed.  

I will at times be moderating the audience. Here is the quickest way to get permanently muted during the event.

1. Call in from a party or public place, and have noise on your call.
2. Speakers on PC turned way up and causing a feedback loop.
3. Talking while you phone or mic is not muted to someone not on show!
4. Being a troll and self promoting every 2 minutes

If you are a guest please be on the line 10 minutes early. Generally it takes me 2–3 minutes to switch over from segment to segment. If you do not show up we keep on moving.
